ADDUCTED: A foot, or any part of a foot, is in an adducted position when:
1. It's distal aspect is angulated toward the midline of the body in a transverse plane.
AND
2. Away from the sagittal plane passing through the proximal aspect of the footor part, or away from some other specified reference point.
ABDUCTED: A foot, or any part of a foot, is in an abducted position when:
1. It's distal aspect is angulated away from the midline of the body in a transverse plane.
AND
2. Away from a sagittal plane passing through the proximal aspect of the foot or part, or away from some other specified reference point.
